Old Friend on Train...
Guess who I ran into on the train this morning? Lynn!
I get a call @ 6:05 am on my cell phone on my way to the train station. It's Chuck, Lynn's husband. They were in the area this week and Chuck told me to look for Lynn on the train. And yes, I did kick her butt in our morning Metro Paper Su doku race :-)

The Draco Tavern
I liked this book, The Draco Tavern. It was a collection of short stories, or vingettes, all (or mostly all) taking place inside the Tavern at the Spaceport that was established in Siberia by aliens. Each story was pretty much self contained, like most sitcom episodes are.
Reading these stories was kind of like watching episodes of Cheers, only they were Sci-Fi and not so much Comedy.
Rick Schumann, the bartender, is the only recurring character in all the stories. He is pretty much the main thread throughout all the stories.

Bike Ride
This picture is from my 36 mile bike ride on Saturday, November 11th, to the Chemawa Golf course and back. It had been a while and my legs were a bit rubbery when I finished. Except for the closed bridge I had to cross, it was a good ride.
